About Me
Originally from Tennessee, now residing in Northwestern Connecticut, I bring the southern charm as well as a
classic look and feel to everything I create. I started my professional fashion design career in 2006 after a life long
passion with sewing and designing. From an early age I had a deep interest in historical costuming as well as
clothing design. I decided to pursue a professional career in design and proceeded to obtain an Associates degree
in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Gibbs College in Farmington, CT. As part of my formal education, I
traveled to London, England to continue my studies under the guidance of Couturier designer, Ulrich Engler.
Designers are asked "where do you get your inspiration"?. I may see a small detail on an object and design a line
around it. In school, I designed a grey and pink suit collection that was inspired by architecture. I also created a
pink and white dress that was inspired by a man's dress shirt. Right now I'm inspired by the fashions of the 30's
and 40's.
My motto is "Dream It...Wear It" and this speaks to the partnership that you and I will enter
into to ensure that your dreams of the perfect garment will come true.
